I am a member and project coordinator of the international research project Commun(icat)ing Bodies. The project looks at the body as a medium in the communication system religion. My research within the project deals with the impact of technology on the understanding and perception of the human body and how religion is used to talk about this relationship, make sense of it, and (de-)naturalize it.
Our last research seminar “Anthropotechnologies” was on 3-4 Sept 2012 at the University of Hull. The detailed program is available here.
Our next seminar will be on Bodily Integrity 9-10 Sept 2012 at the University of Zurich. The program can be found here.
More details can be found on the project website communicating-bodies.net.
